We got an offer on the house this morning! We were stunned. A good offer, too, $114K (we were asking $117,900). The first person to see the house. We snatched it up. Seems a little too good to be true; we were bracing ourselves for months of double mortgage payments, thinking it would surely be spring before anything happened.
The house looks so good, thanks to all of B's tireless work these last months. His high standards had a big payoff.
Of course, there are a bunch more things that have to go right, but the guy's been preapproved for a mortgage. Barring any unreasonable demands, or any unforeseen bad stuff turning up in the inspection, it should work out. If it falls through, it falls through, but if it works out, we'll be so happy.
It seems to bode well for everything.
